Cruise Ship Interiors Expo USA
7-8 June
Miami Beach Convention Centre
Stand 563
Very Wood takes part in the Cruise Ship Interiors Expo, one of the most important events dedicated to interior design, architecture and fittings for the cruise industry.
The trade fair will be held on 7 and 8 June at the Miami Beach Convention Centre where international interior designers, architects and furniture brands will have an opportunity to meet the main shipyards and shipping companies of the cruise industry.
Very Wood, important company in the contract sector, chooses this specific event to show its skill in design interaction with various audiences, from cruise ship world, to restaurants and hotels and senior and healthcare, satisfying the international standards required by each industry, through the presentation of a selection of products from the most iconic collections: Egadi, Eclipse, Unam, Cigar and Bellevue.
The Egadi seating collection, designed by Rodolfo Dordoni and outcome of the first collaboration between Very Wood and the designer, proposes very versatile products that, starting from an initial design platform, are presented in different, light and sinuous shapes. One single creative idea for three different and distinct models of dining chairs among which Egadi 02 and Egadi 21, that further expands for the new lounge chair Egadi 04, with a soft, enveloping backrest that embraces the seat.
To go with the seating, there is the dining table from the Cigar collections designed by Patricia Urquiola, created both for indoor and outdoor contexts and suitable also for marine environments. Characterised by a contemporary appeal and a playful design, the Cigar tables, available with round or square top and in various heights, stand out for the shape of the central leg that ironically calls to mind that of a cigar, from which the collection gets its name. The colours and materials of its various components (base, column and top) are customisable options making it possible to insert itself in different contract spaces.
The setting is then furnished with the seating of the Eclipse collection designed by Philippe Nigro and it is made up of refined seating for environments specifically for hospitality, able to provide versatile solutions also for the office world. The details in the workmanship of the wood, inspired by the French decorators, are at the centre of this evocative project, making the seating a place of privileged observation. The structure of the Eclipse 04 lounge chair develops in the width and it is readable on two levels: the first supports the seating while the second holds up the backrest. The seating is slightly offset compared to the main structural ring as to create an overhang effect as if the seat were in equilibrium. This leaves room for an emptiness that transmits lightness and allows to better discover the details in the workmanship of the wood.
In addition to the Cigar coffee tables, the Unam coffee tables by Sebastian Herkner are also present to furnish the stand: inspired by the creations by Pierre Jeanneret it is a collection defined by its strong visual impact. The two coffee tables are made of ash with the top in solid wood, for a piece in which two wood essences have a dynamic dialogue among themselves and the furnishings of the other Very Wood proposed pieces.
The setting is completed with two products of the Bellevue collection designed by Swiss designer, This Weber, uniting simplicity and sophistication, giving life to an aesthetic that allows the products to insert themselves in every type of context. The Bellevue coffee table is available in the top versions with veneered top, in Fenix or in Calacatta Oro marble, all distinguished by the visible edging that elegantly frames the top. In the same collection, the Bellevue 01 Dining chair, whose legs in wood insert themselves directly inside the padded seating, combined with the wide, slightly curved backrest to give the illusion of a perfect symbiosis among different materials.
Once again Very Wood is able to offer fine collections that combine functional design to the innate passion for wood, artisanship, attention to details and quality of natural materials, proposing solutions suitable to the contract world.
Gervasoni, the other brand of the group also takes part in the fair with Very Wood.
