Livorno

Antonio De Marco forms the Livorno collection: the challenge faced by the designer was to create a chair with a strong personality that at the same time reflected those criteria that make it an accessible product. In the Livorno chair, the focus is on creating a dynamic dialogue between all the elements: the legs all derive from the same section and the seat rests on four equal crossbars. A distinctive feature of Livorno is the special peeling of the round leg section, where a milling creates a series of flat surfaces. The natural vibrations and grain of ash wood emerge with character in the slightly curved backrest that embraces and supports the seat. The unification of the elements, the limitation of machining on them and the maximum simplification of assembly are the factors that guided the design process of this chair. It is available with either upholstered or woven seat.
